At the award show of the Generation section of the Berlinale festival our great movie Sea Sparkle (Zeevonk) by Domien Huyghe was awarded with a special mention. The movie opened last week this special section that is aimed at films for children.

I’ve been working on the Belgian feature Sea Sparkle (Zeevonk) for a while now.

Sea Sparkle tells the story of Lena, who loses her father in a fishing accident. She doesn’t believe it was his fault, and she has seen a huge shadow in the sea. Lena decides to find out what underwater creature caused the death of the crew.

Amit Kumar’s mysterious web series The Last Hour that I edited with Annelotte Medema, NCE is now available to watch in Hindi with english subtitles.

Editing of the tv series Nood is done. Annelotte Medema, NCE and I have split the episodes and with director Joram Lürsen, producer Pupkin and broadcaster BNNVARA we’ve made 12 beautiful episodes of this new series.

Together with Amsterdam Edit collegue Annelotte Medema, NCE we started working on the new Dutch tv show Nood!, directed by Joram Lürsen and produced by Pupkin Film.

In this twelve-part series, directed by Joram Lürsen, we follow four dispatchers of a 112 emergency room who help people in need by telephone. For many people, they are phone calls you never hope to make in your life. But for the dispatchers it is the order of the day, or even the order of the half hour. In each episode, an emergency situation is highlighted from both the caller and the operator. How do both people deal with the stress? How are the right decisions made and what is involved?

Yesterday my trailer for the Dutch feature Soof 3 was released.

Screen writer Thomas van der Ree makes a weekly podcast about the writing process of the Dutch epic series Turbulent Skies (Vliegende Hollanders). I have been a guest on his show to talk about our collaboration and my work as an editor, especially on episode 4.
